Under supervision, you will perform a range of functions, covering multiple pharmacy locations, units or other settings during a variety of shifts, including but not limited to, float shifts. Your duties include the preparation and dispensing of drugs in all inpatient settings; review and verification of medication orders and patient medical records; optimizing safe medication therapy; review of patient medication profiles; counseling patients on appropriate drug use; interacting and/or rounding with other health professionals to help provide safe and effective use of medications; provision of advanced clinical services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN and aminoglycoside monitoring, pharmacist interventions) to neonatal, pediatric and adult patients according to departmental policy and procedures, with possible focus on pharmacy specialty (i.e., oncology, pediatrics, geriatrics, ambulatory care); oversee dispensing, return and waste of controlled substances on assigned shift/unit. Initiate, innovate and complete clinical, operational and/or management projects, in collaboration with Pharmacy Management. You will work in assigned centralized and decentralized Pharmacy areas and patient care units. You will attend and present at department, hospital and medical staff committees and may be involved in development, initiation, dispensing, monitoring clinical research or investigative studies. You will present clinical or innovative findings and ideas at State or National Pharmacy/relevant medical conferences and publish articles in area of specialty/expertise in Pharmacy, Medical or Nursing literature.

Schedule: 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off

Hourly Salary Range: $86.32 - $107.31  (Union represented, step based salary depending on years of experience)
