Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our Main Campus Chemo Pharmacy team.
Role Overview:
- Verify and prepare investigational, chemotherapy, and non-chemotherapy agents utilizing proper aseptic and compounding skills
- Enter premeds and anti-emetics per institutional guidelines
- Have a good understanding of inpatient operation and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
- Execute cleanroom operations
- Other duties as needed
Key Qualifications:
- PharmD (or equivalent)
- Valid NY Pharmacist license
- Prior hospital pharmacy and chemotherapy experience preferred
- IV compounding experience (preferred)
- Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems
Core Skills:
- Highly motivated and able to work well with others in a demanding environment
- Able to adopt a culture centered around patient safety and cleanroom sterility
- Able to make sound judgements even with incomplete information
- Able to suggest changes to workflow to improve patient care
- Someone with a strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn in an empowering environment
- Someone with a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems
- Someone with a supportive attitude towards others' beliefs and ideas
Additional Information:
- Hours: Variable shifts (8-hour & 10-hour); Monday - Friday (between 7 am-11 pm) and Sunday & Saturday (between 7 am - 7 pm). Hours subject to change
- Location: Main Campus - R5 Chemo
- 100% Onsite
- Reporst to: Manager, Chemo Pharmacy
