We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to help lead our Pediatric CVICU Team at Riley Children's Health! This position will be a team lead role and will include both clinical and leadership responsibilities.
Position Details:
Full-Time, Rotating Shifts
3x13 hour shifts per week
Rotating days, nights, weekends
No Call
Inpatient: 95%; Outpatient: 5%
Patient population includes Pediatric, neonatal and adult patients with congenital heart defects both pre and post-surgery
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical -
Daily rounding and management of pre and post-surgical patients in the Pediatric CVICU
Handle outside phone calls and discharge coordination
Pre-op assessment with H&Ps
Bedside procedures to include: suture/staple removal, chest tube management/removal, mediastinal tube management/removal, open sternal wound dressing change, central line management, intracardiac line management, Holter monitor management, and surgical assisting.
Administrative -
About 10% of time (will vary depending on workload)
Coordinate onboarding for new hires, coordinate APP scheduling, collaborate with service line leadership to implement projects and program development, act as a communication liaison between service line and provider teams, coordinate opportunities for department CME opportunities.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree required
ACNP, PNP, or PA certification required
Seeking an experienced APP with pediatric ICU or Cardiovascular experience
