Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Supervisor, Revenue Cycle
The Physician Billing and Hospital Billing/Patient Accounts teams are seeking Revenue Cycle Supervisors to oversee operational activities within the Insurance area, a division of the Revenue Cycle. The Supervisor will continually review staffing resources, workflow, and systems to identify optimal usage and effectiveness in order to ensure maximum hospital/physician reimbursement and the highest quality of billing practices. You will works with all levels of management in the Division and with other departments at the Center to identify and resolve issues and implement improvements.
Role Overview:
- Monitor and respond to the Team's daily operational needs to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with team to identify payer issues and implement plan to determine and address root cause issues; Communicates revenue impact to management
- Monitors staff productivity and ensures in alignment with the productivity standard; addresses productivity concerns through feedback and coaching sessions
- Facilitate monthly team and carrier meetings.
- Assumes responsibility in making operational decisions while keeping the Manager informed. Suggests and implements innovative changes to processes when applicable in order to improve results.
- Recruits, evaluates and hires candidates for Group Leader and Insurance Receivable Specialist vacancies.
- Responsible for monitoring assigned account receivable for aging and trending issues that arise.
- Trains and orients new and existing staff members on updated and new departmental policies and procedures. Provides feedback to the Manager on new/existing employee performance and job knowledge.
- Provides support and guidance to Group Leaders; manages appropriateness and prioritization of Group Leader's assigned tasks to ensure that they are able to respond to staff questions in a timely fashion; encourages development and offers guidance in responding to staff questions and issues.

- Strong experience with EPIC
Core Skills:
- Knowledge of third party reimbursement
- Project management experiece preferred.
- Solid ability to lead and build an effective team while fostering engagement
- Ability to effectively adjust work priorities to meet shifting departmental demands
- A minimum of 1 year of supervision experience and minimum of 3 years experience in a healthcare billing environment is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; strong analytical skills required.
- Sound judgment and diplomacy required to respond to critical operational and challenges.
Additional Information:
Location: Hybrid at 633 Third Ave
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday
Reports To: Manager, Revenue Cycle
Pay Range: $88,800.00-$142,200.00
