The Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development (ACOS for R&D) is a full-time Executive position and reports to the Medical Center Director via the Chief of Staff. The incumbent formulates the goals and objectives of the research mission, both basic and clinical, of the Boise VA Medical Center (BVAMC). A major responsibility is to expand research at BVAMC through recruitment of additional scientists with expertise in research relating to diseases common in the veteran population.
