Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) brings pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 35 pediatric offices. We are expanding our primary care network to meet the demand of regional growth. This new location in Sandusky, Ohio will open in fall of 2021. The practice is seeking an experienced Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to provide excellent outpatient care to our patients.
Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice. Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Research shows that they improve quality, the patient experience and staff satisfaction, while reducing health care costs.

Sandusky is an old port town on the southern shore of Lake Erie. The area has evolved into a major recreation and entertainment destination with offshore islands and bays and the famed Cedar Point amusement park.
The downtown area has gone through considerable renewal and is attractive with historic interests. There is a new waterfront park and redevelopment zone. At approximately 60 miles from both Cleveland to the east and Toledo to the west along the Ohio Turnpike, big city services are easy to access.
The City of Sandusky is fortunate to be able to offer a variety of public parks and recreational facilities. Whether you choose to stroll through our floral gardens in Washington Park, play ball on one of our 17 ball diamonds, challenge the links at Mills Creek Golf Course, launch a boat to go fishing on Lake Erie, plan a picnic at one of our many shelters, or watch a picturesque sunset on the Bay, Sandusky offers it all.
