On behalf of Dr. Anthony Alleman, Bob G. Eaton Chair for Radiological Service and Jon Hayes, President of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, CareerPhysician, LLC, a leader in academic pediatric leadership recruitment, has initiated a national search to identify a transformational leader to appoint as the new Chief of Pediatric Radiology.
The Chief will have the responsibility to advance the regional and national reputation of the Radiology program and embrace a vision that encompasses the mission and values of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital while creating an infrastructure for the Pediatric Radiology Division that the children’s hospital can build on and grow into.
Oklahoma Children’s is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in the state and the Division of Pediatric Radiology provides a tremendous opportunity for a Chief to architect a pediatric radiology division that will be home to 8 full-time faculty, expanding on collaborative relationships with cardiac and neuroscience and capitalize on unwavering institutional support to implement state-of-the art resources, including but not limited to 3T, FMRI and Contrast Ultrasound.
The new Chief will align, and report directly to, the Chair of Radiological Services and the hospital President, joining an institution with strategic and fiscal commitment to the clinical, academic, and educational enhancement of the Pediatric Radiology Division. The joining Chief have ample opportunity expand the clinical footprint in Oklahoma, paving the way for a robust clinical research program in the future.
Committed to resource enhancement, Oklahoma Children’s is currently implementing a new PACS, VNA and Electronic Health record. Additional projects include the deployment of remote acute care facilities with imaging, including UST and MRI capabilities.
We believe this to be one of the top leadership opportunities in Pediatrics offering the selected leader a chance to accomplish great things and implement a growth strategy accounting for the establishment of an interventional radiology section (VIR) along with the establishment of a pediatric radiology fellowship program.
Institutional willingness to support seasoned leaders or individuals seeking their initial Chief role with mentorship, coaching and the fiscal resources necessary to recruit strong faculty and build respected clinical and research programs.
