This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center is seeking a Staff Primary Care Mental Health Integration Psychologist for its Tomball Community Based Outpatient Clinic located in Tomball, TX. Current permanent VA employees and Federal employees from other federal agency should apply under CBST-11070496-21-HYC Duties include but are not limited to: Psychologists are Licensed Independent Providers who engage in professional and scientific work which relates to behavior, capacities, personality, interests, emotions and mental disorders. Functions as part of multidisciplinary primary care teams and delivers brief, consultation based services to Veterans, primary care providers, and allied Patient Alliance Care Team (PACT) members. Focus on general service delivery for a wide range of concerns and resolving problems within the primary care service context. At the full performance, will provide a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care. Assists with the development and implementation of Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) integrated care programs in preconception planning, including effective technical assistance to Veteran women and providers with VA tools/apps. Collaboration with other related specialists, tracks and trends data related to integrated mental health service delivery and patient outcomes, to include but not limited to the efficacy of newly developed practices. Be academically oriented and will have an excellent opportunity to collaborate with multiple disciplines in patient care, education and clinical research. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8am to 4:30pm; with possible extended hours based on patient needs.
